George Shadrack Kamanda

George Shadrack Kamanda is a good governance advocate, a diplomat-in-training, and a civic educator. He is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of The Necessity Firm, a citizenship firm seeking to shape and empower “whole citizens” that are both engaged and objective on nation-building and governance regardless of their social, political, or tribal affiliations. He is the pioneering authority on shaping a responsible, whole citizenry in Sierra Leone and Africa. Born in Freetown, Sierra Leone, he holds a BA in political science and international relations from Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia and a certificate in global human rights from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.

 

He is currently a Doctor of Law (JD) student at Case Western Reserve University School of Law and a master’s degree student of diplomacy at the University of Oxford. He has presented research at the United Nations in New York, read his poetry at the Lithuanian Mission to the European Union, and served as a panelist and contributor on several college and university forums. He is a policy consultant with Speedy Access, LLC, a thriving tech and social enterprise platform supporting African entrepreneurs globally. He is a recipient of many prestigious awards and fellowships and a former trainee at the European Parliament. He is a member at the Philadelphia Hub of the Global Shapers—a World Economic Forum Initiative. He is a Christian and a believer in Jesus Christ.

Awareness for Surviving Women and Children

Awareness for Surviving Women and Children (ASWAC) is a 501(c) non-profit organization 

that provides services to abused victims.  Services include promoting abuse sensitivity and awareness in the community,  schools, and organizations/groups through education. We also provide awareness about teen dating violence,  safety planning,  accompaniment with Protection From Abuse (PFA) orders, medical and legal referrals, temporary emergency shelters, and relocation assistance.  ASWAC  primarily serves all women and children at no cost to victims and their loved ones.
